Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes. The kinds of games you can make in an afternoon won’t be sprawling open world epics or have detailed narratives. They will be more like classic arcade games, mini games, or the kernels of things you might see submitted to a game jam.

  • You can drop into a single event. Each event is focused on a single self contained game. By attending more events you develop more skills and have more fun, but it’s not necessary.

  • Mac, Windows, Linux are all fine.

    A chromebook won’t work very well for most of what we do though.

  • We will primarily develop games using the Godot game engine. For art, we’ll default to LibreSprite (the free version of aseprite) but anything you’re comfortable with is fine.
